Troop 230: Our Mission
Our mission is to take Young Boys, and give them an atmosphere where they can succeed and drive for a set goal.
We take Young Boys and create tomorrow's leaders out of them.
That is what we have been doing for over 60 years.
We take pride in all of our accomplishments and strive to find good in all Young Boys who walk through our doors.
We hold up all the points of the Scout Oath and the Scout Law.
We let every Young Boy have a chance at being their best.
Our Troop Symbol is an Ox Yoke. This is meant to symbolize that we "pull together" in all situations good or bad.
We create Young Adults who are self-confident, self-reliant, self-determined, self-sufficient, and have the know-how to be a good leader. Also to know how to work with others and how to set goals and to meet those goals. The ultimate goal, the climax of Scouting is of course being an Eagle Scout.
We invite all Prospective Scouts, or Young Boys who live in the Southtowns of Buffalo, NY, who are thinking of getting involved in the program to come to our meetings.
